(More customer reviews)I wore these shoes 4 times a week for 6 months until they fell apart. They were the MOST uncomfortable pair of dance shoes I've EVER worn. I used to be a professional classical dancer, so that says a lot.I will never ever buy these shoes again, and wouldn't even wear them if they were free.
2 stars because they didn't fall apart the first week I wore them.

Our test group said that these fit a half size small - so if you fit two sizes, it's best to go with the smaller of the two (say, if you fit 6.5 to 7; you will most likely fit the 6.5 best).

(More customer reviews)Ordered on a whim, was looking for a dress shoe to go with a white sport coat.Selected two, and reviewed decision with my fashion consultants (my kids), and this one was it.Only thing I dislike (reason for 4 stars) is the round shoelaces, as they tend to come untied unless double knotted.Also, these have natural soles for dancing, so one must use caution when wearing outside like avoiding wet areas and prolonged walking on harsh surfaces.

Aris Allen 1950s Black & White Spectator Wingtip Mesh Oxford Swing Shoes with Suede Sole Review

(More customer reviews)I bought these shoes (not from Amazon) about 6 months ago. I love them. I bought two pairs, one in all white and these black & whites. I can't say enough good about these shoes. I wore the white ones for the dancing part of my wedding 3 months ago. They are my absolute favorites to dance in. The meshy upper is fantastic if you dance for hours on end--it keeps your feet from getting overly hot and it's stretchy so the upper doesn't bind the metatarsals.

The soles are nice and slick--great for turns!

The bottom of the shoe is also quite cushiony--way better than any ballroom shoe I've ever used. Normally, a ballroom shoe would have almost no padding on the bottom.

The shoe is very stable for active dance. I sprained both of my ankles several months ago, and I couldn't wear any of my latin or ballroom shoes, but I could still dance in these Aris Allens. These are fantastic shoes. Now that it's cold, I just want a pair in all-black since the wingtips sort of stand out with my darker winter outfits.

These shoes are great for athletic dancers, especially swing dancers, or for salsa/ballroom dancers who need more stability and comfort from a shoe.

Most professional/competition-level leads wear either the white or black AA-Captoes and some follows do too! The secret is the raw-leather sole which is slicker than suede and maintains better too. If you dance Balboa, or want to do lots of spins and slides, these are the shoes to own.
