It usually takes a few tries to get the right pointe shoe. There is never one specific type that is guaranteed for everyone. However, I have a slightly wider toe configuration and a weak arch. I've had to work on my feet for a long time. The shank in these shoes broke in for me much faster than my Bloch Aspirations, which I greatly appreciated. I'm usually not a fan of Capezio pointe shoes, but these ones were real nice fore me. Unlike some dancers, I don't like replacing my pointe shoes every month or all too frequently. I like to use them until they're worn down, and then I wear them as demi-pointes. Anyway, if these shoes work for you, don't try to switch. If they don't work for you, then don't try and make them. They were great for me. I let them air dry each night so that the toe wouldn't get soft and they lasted me about three months.
